IHC Ξ²-hCG (Immunohistochemistry for Beta Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) is a laboratory test used to detect the presence of the Ξ²-hCG hormone in tissue samples using the immunohistochemistry technique.
Ξ²-hCG is a hormone normally produced during pregnancy by placental trophoblastic cells. In IHC testing, specific antibodies against Ξ²-hCG are applied to a tissue section (such as biopsy samples) to identify cells that produce this hormone.
