CD117, also known as c-Kit, is a protein (receptor tyrosine kinase) found on the surface of certain cells, including hematopoietic stem cells, mast cells, melanocytes, and some tumor cells. Detection of CD117 is commonly performed using immunohistochemistry (IHC) on tissue samples.
