The CD19 IHC test is a laboratory procedure that uses immunohistochemistry to detect the presence and distribution of the CD19 protein on the surface of cells within tissue samples. CD19 is a transmembrane glycoprotein that is expressed throughout B-cell development, from early pro-B cells to mature B lymphocytes, but is absent on plasma cells.
