The Ki-67 test is an Immunohistochemistry (IHC) stain used in pathology to measure how actively cells in a tissue sample are dividing.
Ki-67 is a protein found in the nucleus of cells that are in the active phases of the cell cycle (growth and division). It is absent in resting (non-dividing) cells. Because of this, it is widely used as a cell proliferation marker.
