Thyroglobulin IHC is a specialized immunohistochemical stain used in pathology to detect the presence of thyroglobulin protein within tissue samples.
Thyroglobulin is a glycoprotein produced almost exclusively by thyroid follicular cells, and it serves as a precursor for thyroid hormone synthesis. Because of this high specificity, Thyroglobulin IHC is commonly used as a marker of thyroid origin in tumor diagnosis.
