IHC HER2/neu test (Immunohistochemistry for HER2) is a laboratory test used to detect the level of expression of the HER2 (Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2) protein on the surface of cancer cells, most commonly in breast cancer and sometimes in gastric cancers.
